FAQs
Do I have to be Jewish to volunteer at VJFF?
No, we welcome anyone who has an interest in volunteering and film.
Can I work my 20 hours before the Festival starts?
Volunteers opportunities exist before the Festival starts usually in the distribution of program guides and posters (transportation is required), and in the Box Office at the JCC (computer skills are an asset). There may also be other administrative requirements. Please ask the Volunteer coordinator.
If I'm not here for the Festival are there other Jewish films events I can be involved in?
Yes, we hold events during the year that include Sunday Morning Bagel and Movie events, and Film Makers Salons. Just let the Volunteer Coordinator know you are interested in helping with these events.
Do I need special skills or experience to volunteer?
A desire to work with others, a sense of humour and a positive attitude are great assets!
