Based on a true story, in 1942 in a small seaside town in the south of Russia that’s occupied by the German army. Thirteen-year-old Vadik resents his father, who stays home while the fathers of the other boys in town are away fighting on the front. Only later does Vadik realize that his father is a true hero who is hiding many people, including a Jewish boy, thus saving their lives at great risk to his own. Evocatively photographed, I Shall Remember is a story of courage under the most extreme circumstances.
